To Whom it May Concern:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Darren Honeysett, who I have both coached, and more recently observed playing. I know he is extremely interested in playing baseball at the university level, upon completing his high school education.
Having coached Darren, I am happy to endorse his pursuit. He was the kid every coach loves to have. He listened, he hustled, he was a great teammate, and he never quit on himself. In a game with so much failure, it is a wonderful trait to have.... accepting that "oh fers" are part of the game, but being able to put them behind them and get ready for the next at-bat or next game. He is serious about the game, and he competes. Like I said, all a coach can ask for.

Bill has been recognized with several coaching awards, including Baseball Canada Coach of the Year in 1988 and the Blue Jays/ Baseball B.C. Coach of the Year in 1996. From 1990 to 2005, assistant coach 2007-08, Bill was head coach of the B.C. Selects Under 17/18 team which have been national Canada Cup winners a Canadian record eight times and runners up, eight more times, compiling a record of 81 and 24, a .771 winning percentage. He was also an assistant coach with the National Youth team in 1995 and is a Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau regional B.C. representative since 1991.
